Pope Paul Mercy Home Teachers Training Centre was started in the year 2002 and it is a part of Pope Paul Mercy Home. It is the only one Special Education Training Centre in Thrissur District. We conduct Diploma course in special education (Intellectually Disabled) of 2 years’ duration recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India.This training centre is working in a full-fledged new building which is having the facilities of class rooms,  multi purpose hall, resource room, laboratory, library, speech therapy unit, physiotherapy unit etc. Around 500 trainees have passed out during the period and employed in both Government and Non- Government sector. Outstanding performance is being done since last eighteen years .We conduct Seminars and Awareness programmes for the public regarding the intellectual disabilities and the rehabilitation programmes. We are also conducting continuing rehabilitation programmed (CRE) and International Webinars for rehabilitation professionals working in this field to revalidate their RCI recognition every year.
